Hooters Member Wins The Ultimate Game

Las Vegas, NV (June 8, 2007)…With five birdies over his final seven holes, Hooters Tour member Scott Piercy won “The Ultimate Game” Friday over the 7,042 yard par 70 Wynn Golf and Country Club and the richest prize in all of golf, $2,000,000.
 
The Las Vegas, Nevada resident made his way through two rounds of match play May 29-30, before making his way to finals against eleven other golfers. In the two round winner take all finals, Piercy opened with a two-under par 68 and then closed the event with a five-under par 65 for a three stroke win over Wynn Golf and Country Club caddie Ken Jarner.
 
"I made some putts,'' said Piercy, who will actually pocket $975,000 after splitting the winnings with his sponsor. "I hit it good for two days. The putts finally fell the last seven or eight holes.''
 
After two days of match play between 40 players who paid $50,000 each, the 10 players who won twice earned $100,000 each and advanced to the stroke-play finals. Two others advanced in an 18-hole playoff among the one-time winners in match play.

Since the 2005 season, Piercy has seven top ten finishes in 17 events played including a win in the season opening event in the 2006 season in Orlando, Florida. Piercy has collect nearly $80,000 in earning over the past three seasons. So far in 2007, Piercy has made three cuts in five events with his best finish a solo second place in March.
