Monroe, NC (June 3, 2010)… Yoshio Yamamoto (Myrtle Beach, SC) fired a final round 68 to win his fourth career NGA Hooters Tour event and the seventh Carolina Summer Series event of 2010 hosted by Stonebridge Golf Club.
 
Yamamoto, who played his college golf at Austin Peay, carded rounds of 73-65-68 en route to a ten under par total. Yamamoto, who started day two eight strokes back of the leader, jumped himself into contention with a second day 65. His final round started off slow, posting a one under par 35 on his outward nine, but he turned it on quickly birding three of his first four holes to close with a 33 giving the twenty-six year old a four under 68, 204 total two strokes clear of Tyler Rody (Spartanburg, SC) and Roberto Diaz (Myrtle Beach, SC) who finished tied for second at 205.
 
Yamamoto will take home $3,300 for his victory, while Rody and Diaz will each receive $1,475 for their runner-up finishes.  
 
The top 10 members at season’s end will earn full exempt status for the 2011 Hooters Pro Series. Top three finishers each week get into the following weeks Pro Series event.
 
 The Carolina Summer Series travels to Regent Park Golf Club in Fort Mill, SC, June 8-10 for the eighth event of the 2010 season.
