News >> NGA Hooters Tour Gains Exemption Into Chattanooga Classic

Longs, SC…The National Golf Association’s Hooters Professional Golf Tour announced today that the Nationwide Tour’s Chattanooga Classic has granted an unrestricted exemption to The 2010 NGA Hooters Tour Player of The Year. The NGA Hooters Tour member who achieves the greatest success in 2010 on the tour will earn the exemption into The Chattanooga Classic.

The Chattanooga Classic has long been a stepping stone for former NGA Hooters Tour players in realizing their dream of playing on the PGA Tour. Past champions include Hooters Tour alumni Justin Bolli, Jason Bohn and Ron Whittaker.

“The main purpose of The NGA Hooters Tour is to prepare our players to move on to the Nationwide & PGA Tours,” said Robin L. Waters, NGA Hooters Tour President. “Securing exemptions into events like the Chattanooga Classic is huge for our players. Golf is a game of opportunities; hopefully this exemption can help one of our players achieve their dream of one day playing on the PGA Tour.”

The exemption into The 2010 Chattanooga Classic is the fourth Nationwide Tour spot granted to The NGA/Hooters Pro Golf Tour this season. The others include The Fresh Express Classic, The Fort Smith Classic, and the PHS Wichita Classic.
