The 2010 Hooters Tour season continues on its Florida Swing next week with the F&S Asset Management Group Classic presented by Michelob Ultra in Fernandina Beach, Florida. The second event of the season will be contested over the challenging Amelia National Golf and Country Club. Amelia National, a 7,166 yard par 72 design, is an exclusive high end private members club.

Amelia National Golf and Country Club is a classic Tom Fazio design. The course is one of Fazio’s most visually spectacular with rolling fairways, towering pines and sudden breathtaking vistas. The course is a challenge for avid players that feature fine-textured TifEagle Bermuda greens and a healthy amount of water hazards to navigate. While more accomplished players will be tested by his design philosophy, the course is playable for all skill levels.

“The #1 goal of The Hooters Tour has always been, and always will be to help professional golfers achieve their dream of playing on The PGA Tour,” said Robin L. Waters, Hooters Tour President. “Playing challenging courses like Amelia National provide invaluable experience to our players. Our players are going to love the course and the fans are going to see some great golf.”

The field for The F&S Asset Management Group Classic will include current Nationwide Tour member and Fernandina Beach native Bubba Dickerson (1), Amelia Island’s Ernest Gonzales and Broc Nell, Jacksonville’s Alberto Castilla, Russell Knox (1), Andrew Lanahan, John Limanti and Michael O’Neal as well as Ponte Vedra Beach’s Jeff Dennis and former PGA Tour member Dan Olsen. Along with these local players, the field will include a group of players that have captured Hooters Tour titles in the past. The list of players includes Oscar Alavarez (1), Todd Bailey (3), Mark Blakefield (2), Ben Briscoe (1), Jeff Corr (2), Marion Dantzler (1), Chip Deason (2),  Matthew Harmon (2), Grant Leaver (1), Andrew Medley (3), David Miller (1), Blaine Peffley (2), Phillip Pettitt Jr (1), Ted Potter (5), Jim Renner (1), David Skinns (3),  James Vargas (1) and Michael Welch (1).
