Orlando, FL (January 7, 2010)…Rob Oppenheim (Andover, MA) carded a four-under par 68 Thursday in the final round of The Hooters Tour’s Bridgestone Winter Series over the 7,228 yard, par 72 Shingle Creek golf club to garner his first victory of the season (Pictured Left champion Rob Oppenheim).
 
The twenty-nine year old carded rounds of 67-66-68 for a three day total of fifteen-under par 201 and a three stroke victory over fellow Massachusetts native Jim Renner (Plainville) who closed with a five-under par 67 to finish at twelve-under par.
 
The round of the day however, was turned in by former Kentucky golfer Matthew Kohn (Maitland, FL). Kohn started the day tied for 40th but a course record seven-under par 65 moved him to a tie for tenth.
 
Oppenheim takes home $8,500 for his victory, while Renner takes home $4,250 for his first runner-up of the season.
 
With his victory Thursday, Rob Oppenheim jumps to fourth place on the season long money list with $16,877. Joe Affrunti continues to lead the money list with over $28,600 in earnings through nine events. The top 10 members at season’s end will earn full exempt status for the 2010 Hooters Pro Series with their membership fee waived.
                                                                                                       
The Bridgestone Winter Series travels to Forest Lake Golf Club next week for week 10 of the season with action starting Tuesday, January 12, 2010.
