North Myrtle Beach, SC (December 30, 2009)…Jake Scott (Strongsville, OH) carded a final round three under par 69 enabling him to overcome a four stroke deficit and secure his first professional victory at the Carolina Winter Series Event at Tidewater Golf Club.    
 
The 22 year old former Cleveland State University golfer posted rounds of 73-73-69 to finish at one under par 215, two stroke in front of Adam McKenney (Evans, GA) and George Carroll (Roseboro, NC) who each finishing at one over par 217 and will share 2nd place.
 
Scott takes home $2,850 for the win while McKenney and Carroll each receive $1,350 for their runner up tie.
 
The Top 5 members on the 2009 Carolina Winter Series money list leaders will earn full exempt status on the 2010 NGA/Hooters Tour Pro Series.
 
Next up, The Carolina Winter Series travels to Crow Creek Golf Club in Calabash, NC, January 5-7, 2010 for the eighth event of the series.
