Longs, SC…For the third straight year, The NGA/Hooters Professional Golf Tour announces it will run fifteen (15) events in 2010 in and around Charlotte, NC, as well as Columbia and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The events will be run in addition to the Hooters regular Tour, which runs 18 events from March through September.The Hooters Carolina Series will be patterned along the same lines as the highly successful Bridgestone Central Florida Winter Series which features 132 player fields, 54-hole events with a 36-hole cut to the top 33% and ties.
The Hooters Carolina Series schedule will feature 15 events beginning in April and running into September.
The NGA/Hooters Tour is the 3rd largest men’s 72-hole professional golf tour in the country behind the PGA and Nationwide Tours, and boasts alumni like 2009 British Open Champion Stewart Cink, 2007 Masters champion Zach Johnson, 2003 PGA champion Shaun Micheel, 2003 British Open champion Ben Curtis, 2003 US Open champion Jim Furyk, British Open and PGA champion John Daly, two-time US Open winner Lee Janzen, British Open champion Tom Lehman, as well as PGA champion David Toms, Tour Championship winner Chad Campbell and back to back Reno Tahoe Open winner Vaughn Taylor to name just a few. All told, the NGA/Hooters Tour alumni have an incredible “ELEVEN” Majors to their credit. The NGA Hooters Tour has helped more than 100 golf professionals acquire their PGA, Nationwide and Champion’s Tour card. In fact, 48% of the players that earned their 2010 PGA Tour cards, and 53% of the players that earned full exempt status on the Nationwide Tour started their careers on the NGA Hooters Tour.

Top 5 MEMBERS on the season ending money list will have full exempt status for the 2011 Regular Hooters Tour
