Calabash, NC (December 2, 2009)…The NGA/Hooters Carolina Winter Series Event at Crow Creek Golf Club has been CANCELLED due to inclement weather.
Crow Creek Golf Club received nearly 2 inches of rain in a span of three hours Wednesday morning rendering 90 percent of the playing areas in casual water.
NGA Hooters Tour Officials cancelled the event at 10:35AM Wednesday given the course conditions and the continuous threat of heavy rain throughout the day.
“Given the amount of rain fall in such a short period of time the NGA/Hooters Tour feels that the course would need significant drying time in order to meet our standards of competition, which, given the forecast, does not seem likely this afternoon” comment NGA/Hooters Tour Official, Ben Larson.
Next week, the Carolina Winter Series travels to Brunswick Plantation Golf Club in Calabash, NC for the scheduled 5th event of 12.
