Former Member Wins Third Title
Springfield, MO (August 16, 2009)…Another week on the Nationwide Tour another victory by a former Hooters Tour member. Justin Bolli, who started three strokes behind the leaders, birdied five of his final nine holes for his third career Nationwide Tour title. Bolli, a former walk-on at the University of Georgia, carded rounds of 65-67-69-66 for a four day total of twenty-one under par 267 and a one stroke victory over former Hooters Tour members Chad Collins and Derek Lamely.
With the victory, Bolli’s $125,000 first-place check moves him from 17th to 8th on the Nationwide’s money list with nearly $247,000 in earnings. Currently 8th on the money list, Bolli has secured his spot in the season ending Top 25 and a guaranteed spot on the PGA Tour next season.
"I'm definitely looking forward to getting back to the big tour," he said. "But it doesn't change my mindset for this season -- I need to keep playing events and keep playing well. It's very important how high you finish for your priority and status."
Bolli was a member of the Hooters Tour from 2000-2003 collecting three wins, most recently during the 2003 season where he won the President’s Broadwater Casino Classic.
