Biershenk Finds Winner's Circle Again

Kings Creek Golf Classic
Kings Creek GC
June 26-29, 2008

Spring Hill, TN (June 29, 2008)… Tommy Biershenk (Boiling Springs, SC) carded a final round four-under par 66 in the Kings Creek Golf Classic, over the 6807 yard, par 70, Kings Creek Golf Club to claim his sixth career Hooters Tour title.

Biershenk, a former Clemson University golfer, carded rounds of 67-62-64-66 for a four day total of twenty-one-under par 259 and a one stroke victory over Bryant MacKellar (Fairhope, AL). MacKellar closed with a five-under par 65 for his first runner-up finish of the season.

“My ball striking is better now than it ever has been, but I just haven’t been making any putts. My putting isn’t where it needs to be yet, but it’s nice to see a few start going in the hole. It was fun battling him (MacKellar) down the stretch, it was tough, but it was a lot of fun,” said Biershenk after the round.

Biershenk takes home $33,566 for his first win of the 2008 season, while MacKellar takes home $16,735 for his second place finish.

2006 Hooters Tour Player of the Year Ted Potter (Silver Springs, FL) finished alone in third place two strokes behind Biershenk after a closing six-under par 64.

The Hooters Tour will be back in action July 21-27 in Austin, Texas.
