Apopka, FL (February 14, 2008)…Ted Potter (Silver Springs, FL) carded a one-under par 71 in the final round of The Hooters Tour’s Bridgestone Winter Series over the 7135 yard, par 72 Rock Springs Ridge Golf Club to collect his second straight victory.
Potter, the 2006 Hooters Tour Player of the Year, fired rounds of 71-65-71 for a three day total of nine-under par 207 and a one stroke victory over Brian Carroll (Crystal Lake, IL), George Bradford (Pikesville, MD) and Kyle Hosick (Carmi, IL). Both Hosick and Bradford tied for low rounds of the day with four-under par 68’s, while Carroll finished with an even par 72.
Potter takes home $11,545 for his first win, while Bradford, Carroll and Hosick take home $4,763 for their runner-up finishes. With the victory, Potter moves to number two on the season long money list with $36,932 in earnings.
The Bridgestone Winter Series finishes up the twelve event series next week at Stoneybrook West Golf Club in Winter Garden, Florida. The final event will be a members only event with an extra $25,000 added to the purse.
