Orlando, FL (February 7, 2008)…Ted Potter (Silver Springs, FL) carded a five-under par 67 in the final round of The Hooters Tour’s Bridgestone Winter Series over the 6978 yard, par 72 Rio Pinar Country Club to collect his first victory of the season.
Potter, the 2006 Hooters Tour Player of the Year, fired rounds of 69-67-67 for a three day total of thirteen-under par 203 and a two stroke victory over Ted Smith (Orlando), Tyler Leon (Dallas, TX) and Russell Knox (Jacksonville, FL).
Potter takes home $11,545 for his first win, while Knox, Smith and Leon take home $4,763 for their runner-up finishes. With the victory, Potter moves to number three on the season long money list with $25,387 in earnings.
The Bridgestone Winter Series returns to action next week at Rock Springs Ridge in Apopka, Florida for week eleven of twelve.
