Tavares, FL (January 24, 2008)…Jeff Corr (Longwood, FL) carded a four-under par 68 in the final round of The Hooters Tour’s Bridgestone Winter Series over the 7029 yard, par 72 Deer Island Country Club to collect his fourth victory in the first eight events.
Corr, known as “Mr. Winter Tour” for his stellar play during the Winter Series, fired rounds of 71-64-68 for a three day total of thirteen-under par 203 and a three stroke victory over HJ Wenger (Dalton, OH). Wenger tied the low round of the day with a five-under par 67 to finish all alone in second place at ten-under par 206.
Corr takes home $11,727 for his fourth win, while Wenger takes home $5,752 for his first runner-up finish of the season. With the victory, Corr increases his money total to $59,742 through eight events.
The Bridgestone Winter Series returns to action next week at Magnolia Plantation in Lake Mary, Florida for week nine of twelve.
