Haines City, FL (December 13, 2007)…Jeff Corr (Longwood, FL) carded a three-under par 69 in the final round of The Hooters Tour’s Bridgestone Winter Series over the 7227 yard, par 72 Southern Dunes Golf & CC to garner his third victory in the first six events.
Corr, known as “Mr. Winter Tour”, fired rounds of 67-70-69 for a three day total of ten-under par 206 and a two stroke victory over a group of five golfers. The group includes James Vargas (Miami, FL), Mark Blakefield (Maysville, KY), Jesse Hutchins (Kirkersville, OH), Matt Schall (Williamsport, PA) and Anthony Casalino (Brick, NJ). All five golfers finished at eight-under par 208 for the week.
Corr takes home $12,000 for his third win this season, while the golfers that finished in second place take home $4,268 for their runner-up finishes. With the victory, Corr increases his money total to $47,117 through six events.
The Bridgestone Winter Series takes a break for the holidays but will be back in action January 15-17 at ForestLake Golf Club in Ocoee, Florida.
