Poinciana, FL (November 15, 2007)…Jeff Corr (Longwood, FL) carded a five-under par 67 in the final round of The Hooters Tour’s Bridgestone Winter Series over the 7011 yard, par 72 Oaks Course at the StoneGate Golf Club @ Solivita to garner his second straight victory.
Corr, known as “Mr. Winter Tour”, fired rounds of 66-62-67 for a three day total of twenty-one-under par 195 and a five stroke victory over former University of Maryland golfer Bobby MacWhinnie (Pittsburgh, PA). Corr’s second round ten-under par 62 set the course record for the Oaks Course at The StoneGate Golf Club.
Corr takes home $11,545 for his second straight win, while MacWhinnie takes home $5,757 for his first runner-up finish of the season. With the victory, Corr increases his money total to $28,277 through three events.
The Bridgestone Winter Series takes a few days off for the Thanksgiving holiday, but will return to action November 27-29 at Timacuan Golf Club in Lake Mary, Florida.
