Duke Captures Hooters Collegiate Match Play
KISSIMMEE, FLORIDA (November 6, 2007) – The Duke Blue Devils captured their 4th Hooters Collegiate Match Play Championship in as many tries as they defeated the Georgia Bulldogs 3-1-1. Duke was also the Champion in 2003, 2004 and 2006. This year’s Match Play was held at the Ginn Reunion Resort in Kissimmee, Fla.In the 3rd place match, Florida defeated Tennessee4-1-0. Alabama and Purdue were victorious in the other matches today.
