Midlands, TX (October 14, 2007)…With a four-foot par putt on the eighth playoff hole Sunday, former Hooters Tour member Brad Adamonis earned his first career Nationwide Tour victory at the WNB Golf Classic.(picture by Badz/PGA Tour/WireImages)"I don't care -- any way I can get a win is great," Adamonis said. "I just kept on grinding. That's kind of the way I've always played my game. I just hung in there and finally I got a break in my career. The last three holes in regulation, I was very nervous. It's tremendous for me to get a win because I won't be as nervous, and I can play some better golf."
The Providence, Rhode Island native fired rounds of 68-68-72-70 for a four day total of ten-under par 278, and earned a spot in a four way playoff with Ron Whitaker, Vance Veazey and Tjaart van der Walt.
The victory, worth $85,500, moves Adamonis from No. 69 to No. 30 on the money list with $161,735 and inches the former University of Miami (OH) golfer closer to The Top 25 and spot on the PGA TOUR for 2008.
